When it comes to brand names, I'm a little in the middle. Some people always go for the most expensive brand out there and some people seem to have an allergy and have it all out against any brand that makes it cost more than your Great Value version.
It would be an absolute lie if I said brands don't matter to me - because it does. Today, I will tell you why. But before that here's something I sort of splurged a bit on. I finally bought a bag on impulse because "I'm not gonna lose this one!" Last time I saw a bag I really liked when we were at Macy's I hesitated for a week and next thing I know it was completely gone. So it's not happening again. Nope!
Now I tell you why...
Sometimes quality comes with brand. Yes, I know - not everything expensive means it's good quality because many times it's not. There are certain things tho, that I, personally, cannot overlook. That being said, I think certain brands last longer and work better. I also know that some cheap stuff do just the same, but one thing I struggle with is getting consistent quality. Sometimes, I need things to be reliable and I can't afford them breaking while in the middle of something.
Is a Calvin Klein bag absolutely amazing? Well, I wouldn't say it's absolute absolute amazing - but it's good. Better than the cheap, soft bags from Walmart or Meijer that'll probably not last me so long. I know, I have some so I can tell that with my normal use the wear and tear effects and significantly different. My goal is to discover my brand. I want to find something that I can rely on. Like for shoes, I like Skechers and Bear Paw. They're not super expensive like Uggs or Nikes but they also work better than the $15 one from the groceries. I've used my Bear Paw fluffy boots snow blowing in 25° in winter and worked so well. Yeah I believe mid-range is usually best. Not always, but usually.
