Sometimes city life can get really busy. I mean, I don't really go out especially with everything that's going on and with myself working from home but the city is the city. I don't live in a big city. Oshkosh is pretty much a medium sized city, no sky scrapers or crazy traffic (just every once in a while). There is one thing that is very much treasured by Wisconsinites. It's what they (we) call "Up North".
Up North is the place in the northern part of the state where people go to be with nature. Some people rent places to stay, some go hiking or camping, many go fishing, and many actually have their own land. Luckily for us, we have our own piece of nature to escape to. It's definitely one of my favorite places to go hike or simply just sit on the porch and take photographs.

When I moved to the U.S. almost five years ago, I wasn't really eager to make new friends. I'm a firm believer that true friends come to you, just like love. We will meet people that are just meant to be our forever friends. I met some people that I'm really good friends with now, and I truly am happy to have met them.
Reflecting on these things, I realized that my closest friends are the ones I met almost two decades ago when I was 16. Aside from them I have one best friend that I met less than a decade ago but our love is different story lol. I just wanted to take time to sit back and reminisce, and also realize how much we've all grown.
Sometimes when you're down, all you need is someone to be there for you. Luckily, my Bear stepped up and I'm a very proud wifey! I have to admit, I really feel so down. I can't do a lot of things that I typically would. I love cooking so I'm missing my kitchen so bad.
But I think our new chef is doing really great! Bear's burger's are the best but we recently tried out EveryPlate and he's been making these really good meals.
Not only that... my substitute gardener didn't kill my plants!
On the day I was planning to create content about me and my bike, well, I crashed my bike!!
August 15th - I created a schedule, typically post content 2x every week and I was already behind. What better thing to talk about other than my little bike. I had a Kawasaki Z125 - which is a fun, small bike and the competitor to the Honda Grom. The day before, August 14th, we went out for a short ride in town. It was fun, removed some of my anxiety. See - I'm still getting a feel for my bike as I don't ride more often. It all went well until I got home, turned in the driveway, hitting the breaks too hard and falling face down. It was pretty funny and pathetic, but hey... I guess part of learning right? What worse that can happen? I rewarded myself by putting my beloved Nelliel sticker on my bike.
So what's the worse that could happen, right?
Definitely not the worst but most definitely not any better than my faceplant antics. En route to Neenah, I did the boo-boo. â |
