When I moved to the U.S. almost five years ago, I wasn't really eager to make new friends. I'm a firm believer that true friends come to you, just like love. We will meet people that are just meant to be our forever friends. I met some people that I'm really good friends with now, and I truly am happy to have met them.
Reflecting on these things, I realized that my closest friends are the ones I met almost two decades ago when I was 16. Aside from them I have one best friend that I met less than a decade ago but our love is different story lol. I just wanted to take time to sit back and reminisce, and also realize how much we've all grown.
We had our ups and downs. We had our fights and petty quarrels; however, we still had our great times together.
The most amazing thing is that we're not always together anymore. We spent so much time apart, but it's great how you can stay in touch and still feel connected. Honestly, I thank technology for that. We're in different parts of the world, yet here we are still friends. I know it's going to be tough but I sure hope to see all of us together again someday.
