It's cold and it's icy, and we're venturing into a new chapter trying to see if it fits our family well. I think I will be discussing that when everything's clear. So many things have been going on but we definitely need a break... so a date night it is! I think that it's really important in relationships to go out even on a simple date night. I've heard many times that people who get in long term relationships or when they get married often neglect the so-called little things.
Maybe I'm a little cheesy.
Okay, maybe I'm a really cheesy and sentimental person but I think I've learned a thing or two about relationships. I'm no expert by no means, and I also understand everyone is different and what works for one will not always work for everyone; however, I do know for a fact that taking feelings for granted will not have good results.
Love Languages.
Everyone's love language is different. Believe it or not, you don't have to have the same love language as your partner to be affectionate or to match each other. While that may be true, we also have to understand our partners - why or why not are they like this? Why or why not do they do this? Bear and I are a tad bit quite different. See, I'm very clingy and showy while he is not emotional at all. We seem to have totally different love languages but I think it actually works well for both of us. It was an adjustment of expectations, and also a learning curve - we realized our differences and it's actually what makes it all work out. Love Languages and Date Nights? If there's one language that we both agree on - it's the food language. I doubt Bear will ever loudly admit that, but we obviously enjoy food. I love cooking and trying out new things, he loves my cooking and trying out new things. Our date nights are pretty important whether it's a cozy, home made meal or a fancy, German dinner. It's a time to unwind, relax and just chat random things. It's a time to vent and listen, a time to laugh at petty mishaps, and sometimes it's a time to just be silent and enjoy the beer brat Bear grilled for our Saturday night fire. Again, it's just little things.
Obviously, I'm really loving this hood from Spirit Hoods - it's so soft and warm! I'm really considering getting a full coat. I haven't really gone anywhere consider our Rona situation and I've been working from home so it's still an ongoing internal debate. I might make my own cape. With a hood. I don't know. I'm lazy so I may not.
I might buy the materials, but I may never make them...
Close enough!
In case you didn't know, Ein was named after Cowboy Bepop's Ein. Snappagating Ein has no clue he isn't the original one. Shhh don't tell him. Anyways, I got this mug from.................... I honestly forgot where, pretty sure it was from Box Lunch! Ope, my bad!
