I have always been fascinated by airplanes, and I've always wanted to see the Warbirds since I was a kid. A big part of it is my Grandpa telling me WWII stories (he was born in 1907!) and it really peaked my interest. I've taken great interest in the B2 Bomber and F117-A. When the F117 was replaced by the F22, I was really thrilled - but never would I have thought at the time that I would see it in person, up close, and even capture it's majestic beauty.
War Birds
When Bear told me that he wasn't working at the time and we could go to the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh Air Show, of course I was thrilled!! I've always wanted to go, but he usually was working and I really didn't want to go alone. Bear is also very interested in War Birds, amongst other things, and this is something that is definitely a #TeamFrank event!
I made sure I got my gear on, because I am not missing any of these babies for the world. Of course I've captured more but my eyes were definitely set on the F22 Raptor. And then some. Photographs taken with Nikon D5600, Sigma 150-600mm
