As you may already know, photography and arts are my biggest passion. I've always loved anything imagery related since I was little and photography is an integral part of my existence. Well then, why not take one step forward and explore flying and capturing the sky.
Today, we welcome my new DJI Mini 2
I absolutely have no clue what I'm doing - I did a little bit of research and the basic rules. I confirmed I do not need a Part 107 license because I have no intentions to use it commercially; and I do not need to register the drone itself since the weight is below 250 grams. That being said - I still need a lot of practice because this is a totally new game.
Now, let's take a look a first look at this baby.
The DJI Mini 2 is the smallest drone in the DJI line. It's built mostly for regular consumers like me and those who just love to fly or are new in the hobby. I know I will be upgrading eventually, but this is a good start. I'm not gonna go into the specific details and specs of this drone since there are more comprehensive reviews out there, or you can check out the details on the DJI website.
The Mini 2 is small and you can fold it when you're done using it. This is actually one of the deciding factors because I figured it will be easier to bring with me when travelling. I was debating between this and the DJI Phantom, but I already have a pretty big camera bag and adding another large hard shell bag is too much.
Like the drone itself, it comes in a small box along with a soft carrying case.
The package also includes a remote control where you can connect your phone via USB Cable. Now, you can upgrade your RC and get one that has a built in screen. Since I'm a beginner, let's start small while learning and I might end up getting that RC or upgrading the drone itself.
For now - I'm ready for the new experience! Stay tuned for, hopefully, some progress shots!
