I probably should've said this last week but it's officially fall! The leaves have turned, snicker doodle is in the air, the wind is chilly - it's absolutely lovely! This is also the time of year when I hoard the autumn scents from Bath and Body Works because not gonna lie, it's my scent all year round. It's also time for family photos! Had some new family photos taken, and actually the first time we're able to do fall pictures. Really excited and glad we got it scheduled just in time. We were introduced to this small park/trail in town that I never knew about. It's actually a very small place, but it's very pretty especially for a small family session.
This season also signals the start and end of certain things.
While I love getting into this seemingly vintage season, one thing about fall is that it marks the end of riding weather. I still don't really ride on my own. Honestly, it still scares me and I tend to use my moped for trips to the store... across the street. But I absolutely love riding with my Bear.
We had to take one last good ride even if it was a bit chilly. We visited High Cliff State Park - one of my favorite places in Wisconsin. LOL and yeah, it's also close to home! I've taken more photos, more on that on my next blog! The park was absolutely stunning tho - so I guess this serves as a teaser.
When it's too cold to ride, I guess it's not too cold to fly.
I'm going to admit that I've always been weary flying my drone since last year's crash. I also learned more information about it, and the limitations where I can and cannot fly. That being said, it's become challenging and a bit annoying to find only certain spots (e.g. you cannot fly in WI State Parks).
Well, I am back - back to where it previously ended. We went up our cabin up north and flew my drone next by the Wisconsin River. This time I was closer to shore, and got better insurance. Miraculously I did not crash.
The northern areas always have their peak season earlier than the rest of the state. The colors are still stunning, but would've been better if I was here a week earlier. The leaves were starting to fall and somehow, the gloom is setting in.
