Nails and Steak. Odd, but yeah.

Best thing to do when spring is approaching but it's still cold AF?

Mmmm... relax, have a good sip of coffee and do your nails and have a steak!

I'm actually talking about two of the great discoveries I've had so far - and no kidding, it's steak and nails indeed. You're probably wondering how that makes senses. Maybe you don't but oh well... here's why!
Oh steak, yum!

Wisconsin is a farming state, hence, we are called the Dairyland of America. If you're not in a city or you drive a few miles out, maybe even less, chances are you are now driving between farms. I actually love it here, despite thinking that Oshkosh was very flat and not bustling like what I'm used to back in the Philippines' metropolis.

I recently hooked up with a friend whose dad is a farmer and decided we were order a quarter of a steer. Yep, a whole quarter! It seems a bit pricey because you have to pay in full instead of just factoring it in your usual grocery budget one steak at a time - but it's a lot cheaper in the long run and you are supporting the local people. This is when they need it most!

The flavor? Absolutely amazing! No, I'm not exaggerating! The beef from our local farmer is very much more superior than any other steak we've had from the grocery store. It's soft and tender, and it just tastes really good.

On top of steaks, we're also able to get different cuts of beef including sirloin steaks and t-bones. I kept the trim instead of grinding them up which works perfect for making stir fry and bulgogi.

Now what about nails?

Just the usual fun doing my stamps. I've been really loving my Maniology subscription. I used to go to the nail salon. I like the service, but at the same time I didn't really like spending that much every month to maintain my dip nails. Getting my stamping plates and setting up my dip and gel nails is pretty satisfying.

I get to do my own nails which I find a form of art (WIN!) and I save money (WIN)! While it's a little expensive to get started and the monthly box is around $25 per month, you have the option to skip the Maniology box and of course, you can decide how to set up your nail polish collection.

Alright, I'm gonna go ahead and these nails done before my lazy streak activates!

    Hey, it's me!

I've always loved to write. Not saying I'm good at it, but hey this is the story of my life!

I blog about life updates, travels, things that I love, and of course my puppies Hans & Ein!

I also do quick reviews of things for the normal folk. I don't do super comprehensive reviews (maybe some) - that's a job for the pros. But if you like simple and straight forward observations - then here's my two cents.
