I love glitters and sparkly things. Most definitely. Yus.
That being said, I love getting my nails done! It's relaxing, it feels good, but it also comes with a price. Maintaining your nails can get quite pricey. To some, it's one of their priorities so splurging on it every few weeks isn't a big deal. For someone like me to likes to spend on many different things and can't seem to make up my mind whether I should buy new shoes, get a massage or just get some home decor - it's a bit of a toss up. Aside from the ultimate indecisiveness, there's also the fact that I like to collect literally anything and everything and I love art. So then, let's make art! I dipped into the world of dip nails.
One fateful evening, I stumbled upon some dip nails on Amazon and bam! It's roughly $30 - what can go wrong!? That's still a lot less than going to the salon. Not to mention, my Bear started scaring me with the fungus and random infection you can get from sharing the dip powder from other people. Maybe it's not really something to fear, but I'm justifying this purchase.
I'm definitely not a pro when it comes to dip nails. I had to practice on these and try the different colors. They're so pretty!!
It's going to be a fun learning curve, I'm sure. Now, since I'm on a roll getting this "done" I decided I'm going to go ahead and organize my vanity. In contrary to the modern and trendy white vanities (which I would personally prefer), I have a vintage hardwood vanity that I got for $100. I actually love it! Thing is - it's always messy. I think it will always be. Here's an attempt to organize the mess.
I got some acrylic lipstick holders to put my goodies in place. I actually had to get rid of old ones that I never really used. Such a bummer but that's what you get when you hoard make up and never use them. I kept the ones I like, so roughly 60 lippies left. I probably won't be buying much make up soon-ish.
What goes with a vintage vanity? A vintage jewelry box ♥
I'm pretty sure I got this box from thrifting.
I plan to update my jewelry as Claire's and Icing earrings are getting the best of my ear allergies, sadly. It's still pretty nice to look at so I'm keeping these eye candies for now. I quite feel bad about it, it's cheap but pretty stuff. I've been having bad allergic reactions recently so I think I can't really use them anymore. Now, may this post serve as proof that my vanity was once organized as tomorrow, it may no longer be.
