As we approach the colder season, I'm getting ahead of myself and am pretty excited for magical snow!
I've been doing my nails myself and realized I get to do what I want, collect nail polish and art stuff, and still save money compared to going to the salon. Obviously, it's not as professional - like me struggling with my cuticles, I still have a lot of fun doing my nails because it's not really beauty but more of art.
I typically get my nail polish from Amazon and get brands like Beetles or Modelones. I stumbled across one on sale so I tried Covacure. I didn't see anything else from this line but I figure I'd give it a try since it was on sale. The colors were pretty and the formula wasn't bad at all! Surprisingly, I really liked it but unfortunately, I do not think they have other colors or sets.
How to make simple nails look better without the hassle?
Nail stamping! I've recently discovered the art of nail stamping and I really couldn't be any happier! I've always struggled following those YouTube tutorials showcasing how they paint their nails. I mean, my left hand can only paint so much. While I do pride my left hand being more capable than your average not-really dominant one, it doesn't work so well with nails. I don't really remember how I found them, you know Google have their ways of advertising but no regrets at all. One day, I discovered Maniology. They have starter kits and I figured, it's not really expensive so why not try?
I'm absolutely glad I did!
I've only ever tried nail stamping once in the past and I didn't know better. I just picked a cheap set from Ulta, you know those on sale in their racks that you got to stare at while waiting for your turn to check out? Yeah, I got it from one of those because what can go wrong right? Well, a lot of things can go wrong! What I learned from this new not-so-first-time experience is that you have to invest in quality stamps, stamper and plates. Maniology actually offers bundles for first timers so you get everything you need to get started. That being said, I tried their subscription too so I guess we'll find out just how much I like these!
