This weekend we celebrated November Twentieth-first.
What is this?? You may ask.
While we did plan to get married when I arrived in the U.S., we didn't really plan a date. I was hoping to do it on a certain fourth - to kind of match the day we became official, July 4th. I thought to myself, probably December 4th would be a good date. There is quite a long story behind it, but let's just say some no-good person was trying to get me in trouble and give reason to deport me so a wedding rush we had!
Bear's mom was eager to get it done, like right now! So what better day would be than the coming weekend, right? Of course! It's the day right after my birthday. On November 20th and 21st, 2015, we marked the first November Twentieth-first.
Some people may think, oh such a cute term!
No. That's just Bear not remembering which was the birthday and which was the wedding day. Whether it's true or he's just playing with me, that's what he led on and I would assume the former that he couldn't really remember.
With certain guidelines to follow, we were able to go out for dinner at Bowl 91 in Appleton. It's actually a pretty nice place. They serve ramen and pho, and they're very good! There's a lot of pho places in Wisconsin as there is big Hmong community, but you don't really see a lot of places serving my favorite Japanese dishes. Bowl 91 actually have very good ramen.
We went to check some furniture because, you know, Mr. and Mrs. Homeowners (hooray!). Then off we went to prepare for the opening hunting season that Saturday.
Have some good Kwik Trip coffee while we freeze together outdoors.
Adventure is truly out there lol.
While didn't go on a fancy date or did some major shopping, or anything extravagant, it was a fulfilling weekend to spend it with someone I love. I mean, I honestly would rather be elsewhere than be out at 10°F, but of course I rather be with him wherever that may be. 20th-1st will always be special. Let's see what next year brings!
Hey, it's me!
I've always loved to write. Not saying I'm good at it, but hey this is the story of my life!
